Winzler & Kelly is home to a diverse and highly talented community of engineering consultants, environmental scientists, surveying and construction management staff. We have techno geeks, belly dancers, professional musicians, sailors, mountain climbers, writers, competitive runners and bike riders, non profit volunteers, and artists, just to name a small variety of our team. We come from many different countries, and we speak many languages.

President, CEO

Mr. Skavdal is the President and CEO of Winzler & Kelly. In this capacity he works to continuously improve our organization to meet the challenges of the future. Mr. Skavdal led the preparation of Winzler & Kelly’s 2010-2015 Strategic Plan which catalyzed the firm around our mission of serving as “champions for healthy, safe and dynamic communities”. Under his leadership, Winzler & Kelly has expanded its geographic reach in southern California, Oregon and Washington and broadened the services provided to clients to include the full suite of planning, permitting, regulatory compliance, design and construction and program management necessary to execute complex projects.

Stephen J. Cox
VP/Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Cox is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Winzler & Kelly. In this capacity Mr. Cox manages all aspects of project delivery including the integration of information technology and risk management into our practice. He utilizes his broad technical background and experience with Winzler & Kelly’s large complex projects to drive ongoing improvements in Winzler & Kelly’s project execution strategies. Mr. Cox is also President of Winzler & Kelly’s wholly-owned subsidiary Winzler & Kelly Constructors which focuses on utilizing project management expertise to deliver turn-key solutions to clients.

Margaret C. DeZurik
Chief Financial Officer

Ms. DeZurik is Winzler & Kelly’s Chief Financial Officer and one of the first women to hold positions as shareholder and board member. She is responsible for Winzler & Kelly’s financial performance reporting systems and is also a member of the Governance Committee. She is pioneering efforts to expand our systems to provide true triple-bottom-line reporting for the company, enhancing our corporate transparency and supporting Winzler & Kelly’s strategic goal of integrating social responsibility, with an emphasis on sustainability, into its business practices and culture.

Ms. Heron is Winzler & Kelly’s Human Resources Officer and directs our efforts to sustain and promote a workplace committed to responsibility, opportunity and leadership. Since joining Winzler & Kelly, Ms. Heron has realigned our human resources staff to serve as the “Employee Connections Team”. Under her direction, our firm has expanded “Leadership Winzler & Kelly” our internal leadership training program, initiated a Workplace Wellness program and organized a Corporate University.

Mr. Solomon serves as Winzler & Kelly’s Vice President and Corporate Development Officer. In this capacity he works to support the ongoing growth of our company by aligning our technical practice and services with client goals and industry trends. Mr. Solomon’s innovative leadership has allowed Winzler & Kelly to build a business development team that is focused on the strategic goal of being widely sought after by our clients. Mr. Solomon also leads our mergers and acquisition program which allows Winzler & Kelly to grow its technical practice and geographic reach in support of market needs.
